Seems it's enough of a problem to warrant new laws. But I bet the "Left" will still accuse those that become addicted of being "drugies"

Some of the most common and most powerful prescription painkillers on the market will be restricted sharply in the emergency rooms at New York City’s 11 public hospitals, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Thursday in an effort to crack down on what he called a citywide and national epidemic of prescription drug abuse.

With a daughter and son in law who are both pharmacist I can assure you that you would be amazed at the number of people addicted to these pain drugs. You'd also be amazed at "who" is addicted to them and the lengths they will go to try and get them.
