MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- Russia expressed interest in using Cuban airfields during patrol missions of its strategic bombers, Russia's Interfax news agency reported

"There are four or five airfields in Cuba with 4,000-meter-long runways, which absolutely suit us," Maj. Gen. Anatoly Zhikharev told Interfax.

Zhikharev, who is the chief of staff of the Russian Air Force's long-range aviation, said, "If the two chiefs of state display such a political will, we are ready to fly there."

Zhikharev also told Interfax that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has offered a military airfield on La Orchila island as a temporary base for Russian strategic bombers.

"If a relevant political decision is made, this is possible," he said, according to Interfax. Zhikharev said he visited La Orchila in 2008 and can confirm that with minor reconstruction, the airfield owned by a local naval base can accept fully-loaded Russian strategic bombers

They are just being neighborly. That's what "Socialism" does........it makes everyone happy, giddy, and overtly neighborly.

With Russia, Cuba, Venezuala, and now the U.S. being a Socialist State, we'll all get along fine and enjoin each other in all the fun..............

Oh Happy Day!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else feel as Jubilant as I do?

Didn't Biden say ssomething in the Primaries about Obama being tested in his first x amount of days? They don't even have to destroy a single building or harm a single American. They just need to detonate 1 or 2 nukes a few miles up over the U.S. The EMP will bring this country to our knees without all of our electricity and gadget. I really feel that is one of the biggest threats from a forgein nation that we face, it could happen at any time with little warning. The threat is real, we are vulnerable and it's way too possible.

Missiles aren't the fight now, Russia has the capability to hit anywhere in the US with missiles fired from any number of places within Russia.

both sides are trying to extend their influence right now. putin is feeling pretty strong having weapons and oil/natural gas for leverage. he jerked europe's chain with the gas valve this winter. i think all the talk of america being divided will make him more adventurous.

Putin knows he's got a rookie on the other side of the board who's in way over his head. Everybody knows it. China is jacking with us, Russia is jacking with us, who is next, Zimbabwe?

China is buying raw materials in mass quantities all over the world, hell we're selling to them. This is what a country does when they are preparing for war. They have been watching our every move on the war on terrorism.

Maybe he will quit acting like Lincoln and more like Truman. You know they treated Truman as a rookie also.

And he's got the Dr. Orly Taitz mole making trouble in the U.S.

Not so far fetched is it now?

She's just pointing out facts that you sheep try to ridicule in an attempt to cover up the fact that you can't refute them.

Peel off the reset sticker and you'll find the russian word for "launch".

Hillary and Obama were both at the Bildenberg Group Conference last summer, I believe they are both in CFR as well.

A One world Government is coming unless we wake-up and do something about it.

How could I forget, The missiles in Poland and the Radar are for defensive purpose, they are interceptors. We have invited the Russians to look for themselves.

These long range bombers are clearly offensive weapons.

Russia isn't worried about us being able to attack them with these weapons, they are concerned with their sphere of influence. In other words their ability to attack Europe.
