Sad Day

An old friend of mine that served with my Dad in the same tank in WWII lives about five hours south of me. Every time we roll through to a rodeo or play hockey there he comes to watch the kids. Well Emily was playing there today and I couldn't get ahold of him. I had a funny feeling so I phoned his brother. Here he's in the hospital dying of bone marrow cancer-his brother said not to go see him-he wouldn't know me any ways-just remember the last times we had. A real gentleman and a Canadian patriot is on his way out-I'm just glad my kids got to know him for a little while.

Sorry to hear about your friend Corey, at least he is not suffering anymore.

I hope you know that I don't mean to sound hard-hearted.
