Good Day from the Rupununi in Guyana South America
I currently am at Karanambu ranch with the lady who is world famous for her work with Giant River Otters,
But my question is this, she had an old western saddle hanging in one of the out buildings, and upon close inspection this is an old Heiser Keyston Lichtenberger saddle and has been hanging for years. I could not believe dry rot had not ruined all the leather, but a little saddle soap will bring it back as good as new. Can anyone out there tell me a little more about this saddle, the horn appears to have roped a few wild cows here. The weight of the saddle may prevent me from using it on any of the current ranch horses because they tend to be rather small.
Thanks in advance for any help or information provided, I'm sure this saddle has a long history.
