I feel if these people that were hit with lOSS that didn't have insurance don't get a cent. Those that did will be paying for higher premiums on top of the premiums they paid to be covered.

in most cases if you fail to get flood insurance you do not get any help. and if your home is destroyed you need insurance as well.

same with cars.. without comprehensive insurance you don't get any help.

where fema comes in is how things are processed. .with a disaster declaration everything goes smoother..

there is money for the communities to clean up. and often grant money for rebuilding.

but,... for the "poor" and those who lose everything and are on some other sort of welfare.. there is emergency assistance, hotels in the worst area often. shelters,.. and those debit cards.. and all kinds of help for months.. years.. once a person is labeled a disaster victim.. they often breeze through all kinds of paperwork..

sure they need help... everyone does.. but the abuse is awful and really gets to those who had coverages and plans..

So when Oblamea orders all agencies to give everyone what they need with no delay, he is basically trying to buy votes...........

Good point, Ranch Hand, therefore you probably favor, at least in part, the Affordable Care Act, which is going to make everyone who can afford to buy health care insurance, buy it---instead of running to the emergency room everytime they have diarrhea!

Case in point: I had to go to the ER just recently after an injury. I do have insurance, it comes out of my retirement check monthly. While at the ER, this young guy who drives himself there (he has no ins and where he works doesn't provide for such he says)says he has visual problems from the welder at work. He is attended to and eventually leaves. Now the way I look at it he drove himself there(BUT HAD VISUAL PROBLEMS!) and now I get to help pay for the ER treatment of his whatever with an increase in my future premiums. I'm all for everyone paying something. May not be a total cure but a step in the right direction.

my bet is he wanted the next day off.. and needed an excuse that wouldn't get him fired..

if it is work related normally it will be covered by workman's comp..

other employers and workers will pay for it .. just as those who make more will subsidize the affordable care act for the poor, low income and no-income and he won't just go to the emergency room for blurry eyes.. he will be there most Mondays and any Tuesday after a three day weekend..

so in reality, your taxes will go up to pay for his care.. if they tax the rich.. then the products they own will go up.. again.. costing you more..

the dependency cycle must be broken ..

But no one is forcing them to buy house insurance. The insurance is not paying for the uninsured. My health insurance is going up because of all the mandates of obamacare. The ones that can't afford insurance I will still pay for with taxes. So either way I am still paying for it do you think they will Pay for their deductibles or just skip and I still pay thru higher premiums on top of the higher premiums

I was in a video store once and the lady in front of me got a video without paying cash for it.

I had to pay for her "free" rental, when I went to the till and paid cash for my rental. Was I ever pissed.

I sure hope she paid the bill that was sent to her.

Yep- I heard it best described last night on comedy TV- that we should do away with FEMA and all federal aid - and we as a nation should not be responsible for the rest of the nation.... Leave all the repair to the states that just lost everything washing out to sea-burning up- flooding- or slipping into the ocean with a major earthquake....

And if you look at it thru the one eyed rose colored ********* glasses-- it does seem plumb reasonable  :p

Ot he is promising 100 percent on somethings. FEMA usually covers the majority with local and state covering the rest. Why 100 percent now....oh ya it is getting close to Tuesday!

Was it obama that said that, as he watched the 4 Americans die in Libya, after he denied added security and defense?

When did Libya become part of the US :???:

Who currently subsidizes the non insured, low income, etc.? BTW this guy said he was assigned another job away from the welders-light duty.
