Poll: Palin's support still strong among GOP
Updated 20h 57m ago
Sarah Palin announces Friday that she is stepping down from her position as Alaska governor. A new poll finds the move did not diminish her support among Republicans.

USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — Sarah Palin's bombshell that she is resigning as Alaska governor actually has boosted her a bit among Republicans, a nationwide USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, though it also has dented her standing among Democrats and independents.
Two-thirds of Republicans want Palin, the party's vice presidential nominee in 2008, to be "a major national political figure" in the future. Three-fourths of Democrats hope she won't be.

Is it a big surprise the Dems dislike her even more now.  Can you said Scared sh*tless about her boost in support.

Go, Sarah. Get out there and run.

Of course, if every Republican voted for her (and they won't) she'd lose.

Let's see 2/3 of 39% is 26%. Tough to win an election with that percentage of the vote.

So far in 2009, aggregated Gallup Poll data show the divide on leaned party identification is 53% Democratic and 39% Republican -- a marked change from 2001, when the parties were evenly matched, according to an average of all of that year's Gallup Polls. That represents a loss of five points for the Republicans and a gain of eight points for the Democrats.**

If Obama stays on the same path as he is on now I would be surprised if alot more Republicans don't come out just to get rid of him and It wouldn't surprise me if the independents bail along with a few Dems. The US can not afford his agenda and people are starting to realize that and it is showing in his drop in the polls

Rasmussen Reports
Presidential Approval Index for 07/08/2009 -5
Strongly Approve 32%
Strongly Disapprove 37%
Total Approve 52%
Total Disapprove 48%

He was at +28 when he was sworn in so fff that is a 33 point drop in under 6 months.
