That was one glorious beautiful sunset, Jersey Lilly. Thanks for capturing the moment so the rest of us could enjoy it, too. God and you make a great team. :)

What a nice thing to say Soapweed. I think if ya pair up with the Good Lord......everthang else is gonna fall into place.

jcummins sure hope ya got yer cow problems sorted out. Even if ya didn't see what I saw. (your sunset probably looked a lil different than mine) That's why I wanted to share. We all, at times get busy, and miss some of the finer things in life.

I've always wondered, when taking pictures like this, if I was 50 miles east or west, what would the difference be in what it looks like.

Jersey Lily, Thank you SO much for sharing God's handiwork in your part of the world. Looking at your photos makes my heart beat slow and I can just feel a smile starting from the inside out! Sunsets have a way of just make the day a whole lot sweeter when we stop to enjoy them. Thanks again for the pix! Mrs RBT

Wow! :D Aren't we fortunate to live in open spaces, where there are no buildings obstructing our evening views... sunrises are just as beautiful, though I must admit I prefer to sleep through them  . Thanks for sharing :D .

I agree about livin where there aren't too many buildings. Now if the power poles and lines would go into hiding.....we had a gorgeous sunset this evenin, while it was comin a frog stranglin rain. Never have shot a sunset while it was pourin rain like that.....and where I was at, at the time, there were 4 power poles so I didn't even take a picture of it.

Beautiful pics. I had the good fortune to get several such sunsets (each like your best red shot) all within about a year's time a number of years ago.

One was on an aoudad hunt near Marfa, Texas, another on a whitetail hunt in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and the last on a desert bighorn hunt in Sonora, Mexico.

I framed all three, had them in my business office back home for a couple of years but now they're stored away somewhere. I need to find them and drag them down here to enjoy again.
