was told if a calf comes backwords and upsidedown and it lives its a gift from god , ended having to pull it, and it was alive :D 1st calf i had to pull , i just started raising cattle 2 yrs ago , this means a lot to me , i was afraid i was to late , man i feel lucky

You should be proud of yurself...any live calf is always a great feeling..hope the rest of your calving goes smoothly.

it seems to be a rule of thumb for me, that if you have to move those back feet, if they are coming backwards, then you will get a dead calf.

you did good!

Any live calf makes you feel good. The tough ones you save feel like a reward for being in the business.

The thing I have noticed is when you save a calf like that, it seems to stand out every time you go to the field. Not that the calf remembers the favour!!!

Good for you, rowel.
