We are 2 weeks past the last 2 years feeding date and 3 weeks from normal date. We may be able to push it 1 more week, the grass doesn't have much left in it.

Thankyou for getting the pictures on there for me. Could not find any instructions anywhere on hw to do it. Have been here in Powder since the early 70"s. Shorthorn cattle that can be used in the real cow business are few and far between. Have been able to peddle a few bull calves each year. Doc Swartz and his wife Annita live near medical springs, have known them for many years.

I've met the Swartz's but don't really know them. I'm sure you know the Martins, Dobsons, and Elmer Hill? Do you know any of the Wirths?

We started feedin hay last week. That's about a week earlier than normal. We've had some nice showers recently but not the temps to grow grass.

We started about 2 wks early here. Usually start about Thanksgiving. It's just been sooooooo dry here then it turned cold WAY too early.

Were kind of 1/2 feeding right now 3 bales every other day to 240 cows but thats about to end as this new pasture their in is playing out quite fast.

I've got alot of fall grazeing but it would require alot of trucking and then it would snow a week later anyhow so I'll just feed hay.
