He must be a stray. I've seen both sides quite well, and sure don't see any brand on him. Maybe he just got a hare brand last spring and it didn't take.

A male ass is a Jack.

A female is a Jenny.

How do we know this is Jack rabbit?

Maybe it is Jenny rabbit?

You are probably right. If it was a male, it would have antlers. But then it would be a "jackalope."

Good works on gettin' such good pictures. And you never even ruffled his hare! :)

Tap should have captured the turtle this morning, and we could have had a tortoise and hare race.

I heard tell one time of a guy they called "Jack-rabbit." Every time he stopped, his hind-end hit the ground.

It's pretty cool when our snowshoe hares peak population wise-rabbits everywhere in the bush-pretty darn tasty in the slowcooker. I did a deer roast in there the other day and marinated it in Irish Cream preetty yummy stuff.

So tell me...you marinated it first in Irish cream...for how long? Then did you put the roast and the Irish cream into crock pot and cook it? I'll try anything once
