be sure to watch Shawn Hannity tonight. Name of the show is WASTE 101.He's exposing 101 assnine projects that the stimulus and the omnibus bill money is being spent on.
Things like filliing potholes in Davenport, Ia. Since when is something like this a government project? How about street lights in Freemont, Ne.
And studying fruitflies...on and on it goes. :x

Oh and the bridges...lots and lots of bridges. Too bad they are in
areas without many people to use them.

Oh, there is much much more. I hope you don't miss the show.
It comes on again at 10 pm here.

It's a waste and a disgrace!!!!!!!

Building and fixing roads and highways have been government jobs for years.....Why do we have city, county, state road crews :???:

I'll bet the relatives of those folks up there in Minneapolis that were killed or injured when the bridge collapsed wish they would have spent some money inspecting and repairing bridges long before now...

You're missing the point. The infrastructure amount in the Zer0 Stimulus is no more than the amount normally appropriated.

You got duped again. Damn I hate that.

Like in Montana- many of the projects being done- are projects that because of the economy otherwise would have been put on hold..And more people would have been laid off or out of work had they not gone ahead...

That was what the stimulus/jobs bill was supposed to do....

And what about all the pork money, like airport scanning machines? How many jobs did that create?

Oh, I'm sorry, the One said there wasn't any pork....

Somebody had to build those machines- and someone is getting paid for them- and that puts more money into circulation...
That is the idea- get money circulating again....
And remember those airport scanners were actually asked for by GW's crew- and authorized during his watch.....

Was talking with a buddy of mine who works for the Army Corps of Engineers and is over several campgrounds in the area. He got $3 MILLION from Zer0 to upgrade the same campsites that were upgraded two years ago.

Plus he gets to add 100 more camping sites to a campground that has never been more than half full at any time.

I show the figures to ya'll when Zer0 gets the "Stimulus Watch" website up and running in 2010.

Well up here- just locally- they are updating the St. Marys Dam and diversion canal which was built 50 years ago and is falling apart- and supplies irrigation water for the production of 1/10th of Montana's agriculture production- plus many municipalities water supply...Also expanding the area the water from there can be used for irrigation...
And building a 4 county water system to finally get adequate and potable supplies of drinking and livestock water to areas that have never had them...
Also they are expanding a local fish hatchery- which provides fingerlings for planting to keep one of the states top industries going....

Not sure what the Corps is doing for campsites locally- but tourism is a huge economic factor for the Montana economy- and our local economy...And many times all these here during the summer months are full...

You bet, they build the machines and then what when the orders are filled? How much did that job cost US taxpayers?

If Obama wants to get money circulating, a great place to start would be to not take so much of it.

There's really no way for me to tell if you're telling the truth or not.

Zer0 promised to put the checkbook out here for us to watch the Stimulus but that ain't gonna happen any time soon.

I did find out that they are gonna build a paved walking path down in Lowndesboro that has about 25 people and plenty of open pastures to walk in.

Funny thing is............they need a new well to supply the town with water and can't get money for that.

You really should watch where the money is going Oldtimer as one of the top ten wasteful earmarks is a bridge that is going to be built in Florida. Lots of people in the area feel it is a waste of tax payers money. Wasn't stimulus money suppose to be spent on shovel ready projects? The Florida bridge that nobody really wants is at least two years from being so called shovel ready. How is the bridge nobody seems to want going to shock the 2009 economy when it will not to be builted for at least two years Oldtimer?

How will studying pig stink help the 2009 economy?
How will studying the genetics of grapes help the 2009 economy?
How will removing tatoos help the 2009 economy?
How will building a walk way between to MicroSoft buildings help the 2009 economy?

It is time to pay attention to where the money is going and stop making excuses for Obama's, Pelosi's and Reid's attempts to pay back their campaign supporters Oldtimer.

Gee Oldtimer I heard part of the Montana Stimulus money is going to update a hotel lobby in Billings? Shouldn't the hotel have to pay to update their building themselves verses having the US Taxpayers pay to have it done? :?

Geez Now I have heard it all MicroSoft needs a walkway and you think the US taxpayers should pay for it.

I would think just maybe the wine makers should be paying for their own grape studies not the taxpayers, they are the ones benefitting from the study.

News flash PIGS STINK no matter how much money Obama throughs at that study, that fact will not change

And if a person pays to get a stupid tatoo then let that same person pay to remove that stupid tatoo. It is called personal RESPONIBILITY Oldtimer.

And you never answered Oldtimer how will not just one bridge that is not wanted by locals but several bridges that will not be built for at least two years shock the 2009 economy in not only Florida but also Hawaii?

How about the millions being spent on a pet project of a Senator that is not to be finished for about 25 years Oldtimer? Or didn't you hear about the millions in both Obama spending bills being spent on a four lane hiway to NOWHERE in West Virginia that you can now walk down the middle of during RUSH HOUR?

How about the Billings Hotel lobby Oldtimer shouldn't the HOTEL PAY to renovate their building?

How about the millions being spent on wind turbines that will only provide power to a few hundred homes if the wind is blowing?

Pot holes within city limits should not be a FEDERAL problem Oldtimer that is what city taxes is for Isn't it?

AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON

Do yourself a favor watch Hannity he is listing 101 wasteful items where your money is being spent. One of the 101 was the hotel in Billings. it's number 7 Oldtimer

http://www.foxnews.com/search-results/m/22394959/waste-101-nos-9-1.htm

Oh I'll correct my statement it is the landscaping out front of the hotel they want the money for not the lobby.

Oldtimer how about the $15 million dollar going to a US Port of entry in Montana that has two or three people crossing per DAY. Is that money really needed?

Sorry Oldtimer that is 77 million with 15 million going to each Scobey's and Whitetails ports. Whitetail has two people on a busy day.
