How much time do they need to vote? Hell, isn't a month enough?

In a 5-4 vote Monday, the Supreme Court has ordered the start of early voting in Ohio be delayed for one week.

According to a Cleveland Plain Dealer story, the high court's order reverses a lower court judge's ruling and supports Republican state officials' efforts to restrict weekend and evening voting hours. The decision will trim at least seven days from the number of days Ohioans will be allowed to vote in advance of the general election on Nov. 4.

According to an Associated Press story, early voting was set to start Tuesday. It will start Oct. 7.
The case began as a lawsuit from black churches and civil rights groups that opposed GOP suggestions to cut the number of days and evening and weekend hours for early voting.Voting for the delay were the five conservative judges -- Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. Voting against were the four liberal judges -- Justices Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.
