Just got a call from the gentleman who bought the high selling Char bull at Lindskov-Thiel, Isabel S.D. for $77,000.00. I had heard they had an Angus that was prolly gonna sell high too.

Anyone know what he went for?

Hi Mike,

I think it was $49,000, and sold to McCumber Angus, ND. I was told the overall average was a little over $5000. Don't know what the blacks averaged, but the whites were something like $5550.

They had another char that brought 24,000 and another angus that brought around 20,000 too. I very good sale but towards the end they got alittle soft.

Thanks guys. Even though I know Brent and Nancy well it's a little awkward to call someone and ask them how much money they made on the sale.

You buy anything Andy?

I bought 58. I went up there to buy a Rio Bravo son but they sold really good. The cheaper bulls brought in the 2000-2500. And there was 10-15 of those in the chars.

"58" Good choice from looking at the catalog. I need an outcross but Brent steered me away from them all. I have never had any luck with the Wyoming Wind progeny. Guess it's just an environmental thang. :???:

Bluegrass is a very nice looking bull and I like his sire, but I swore that I wouldn't breed any negative marbling EPD bulls. I may have to eat my words though.

I think that he will come up. Didn't you try and buy him last year? He had a IMF ratio of 120.

Have you looked at LT Silver Yeild he also looks good.
