More lying tax cheats, is this woman trustworthy enough to be Health Secretary, or am I prejudging her a little too much? Should she be given a chance?

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama's health secretary nominee, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, got nearly three times as much political money from an abortion doctor as she told senators.

In response to questions from the Senate Finance Committee, Sebelius wrote that she received $12,450 between 1994 and 2001 from one of the nation's few late-term abortion providers, Dr. George Tiller.

But records reviewed by The Associated Press show that Tiller gave at least $23,000 more from 2000-2002 to a political action committee that Sebelius established while state insurance commissioner to raise money for fellow Democrats.

The Health and Human Services Department said Monday that the omission was an oversight Sebelius would correct.

Bump. Hoping for comments from Obama supporters...

Why is it okay for somebody that has taken that much money in donations from any doctor to be in charge of health care for the whole country?

Isn't there likely to be a conflict of interest?

Is this really "change?"

And how many liars is too many?

She LIED about how much money she had taken - is this really "transparency?"

How many liars and tax cheats is acceptable in the President's Cabinet?

Doesn't anybody even notice these things any more?

Or do you notice and just not care?

Has the Obama Administration already defined down the ethical standards that we should expect from the people that work for us?

Have they already - in just a few months - lowered the standards so much that we are now willing to overlook liars and tax cheats?

Is this the most ethical administration we can have?

Is this really the best we can do?

Don't we deserve better?

Do you really think that any of these questions will be answered?

Gov. Sebelius vetoes Kansas coal plant legislation
Gov. Sebelius again vetoes Kansas coal-fired power plant bill, sets up legislative override
Tuesday April 14, 2009, 11:19 am EDT
Buzz up! Print TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -- Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has followed through on her promise to veto a bill that would allow construction of two coal-fired power plants in southwest Kansas.

Monday's action was the fourth coal plant bill the governor has rejected in the past two years.

The bill would have permitted construction of the plants near Holcomb in Finney County. In 2007, Health and Environment Secretary Rod Bremby rejected a permit sought by Sunflower Electric Power Corp. to build the plants.

Legislators have had enough support to pass the previous three bills and override Sebelius in the Senate, but have fallen short in the House.

The Legislature is on break until late April, when it returns to finish its work, including an attempt to override Monday's veto.
