IWANNA.....As long as the Big 12 continues to allow TU to dominate and pontificate to the other members it will never flourish. Big bucks for the Longhorn Network (ESPN) and now you can get it as a freebie with other sports pkgs. because nobody wants it.

Contrary to what Jiggsy espouses, that's why Nebraska left. TO saw the writing on the wall before anybody else....and he wasn't gonna lay down for Texas.

Some have a hard time understanding this. Why lay down and leave? Leaving is the obvious way for everyone to see that Nebraska laid down?Man up and be more dominate. If Nebraska has all the tradition and fanbase behind them why give up and quit? Just wondering?

After all, they way to stop a Bully is to confront him!!!!!!

TO saw the writing on the wall....the HQ move from KC to Texas, all kinds of 11-1 votes, and saw an opportunity for more revenue with the B1G than with Texas. Texas has forgotten how they came with their hat in their hand to the Big 8, looking for a home after the implosion of the old Southwest Conference. Once the Big 12 was formed, Texas imagined they should be calling all the shots. Tom had enough, and put out feelers. It didn't help that schools like K State were on their knees for Texas. Kinda like the Fatman for Dear Leader.

NU went from king of the Big 8 to peon in the Big 12...short and sweet, they were not in charge, they took their toys and left.... no one is wishing they were here now.... and the Big ten will soon see the true colors of NU.
Loomix likes to paint a picture of Nu that is rosie and pure....much like the father of the town whore who tells people his daughter is no whore, just real friendly....

Jigs, a conference is supposed to look out for ALL the teams in it, not just the teams that happen to be successful at any given moment. If you like being on your knees for Mack, by all means keep assuming the position. The way you go on, I think you have learned to enjoy it. But then nobody came looking to add the MildCats to a different conference.

Texas is either gonna pull a Notre Lame and go independent, imploding the Big 12, or the Big 12 will implode anyway because of Texas.

Question: do you hate Missouri as much as you do Nebraska? They kicked your ass for decades and then took their ball and left.

Mizzou never had an elitist attitude and a huge chip on their shoulder....

I doubt you will ever see the truth, NU and Texas were buddies in the beginning, they planned to take a big hunk and split the left overs amongst the other 10..... then Texas turned the tables, and NU got left out in the cold....

NU is a bitter bully who got punked. the Big Ten will soon have buyers remorse..... the Big 12 will be fine. once the play off is established with a "win your conference" clause, Notre Lame will be forced to join a conference, and Texas will sit right where it is, thinking it has an easy path to the play off..... and NU will go on in mediocrity, beating up the Indiana's of the world, and being little brother to the powers of the Big 10.

This isn't the type of bully situation where you can beat the hell out of him and end the situation. You have to have more people voting with you than them, and the rest of the conf. didn't have the balls/common sense to see what Texas was doing and then do something about it. T.O. could see that the boat was headed for the rapids and that nobody but him was manning a paddle, so he put out a feeler and put us in a better situation, which is his job. We're better off now and there is a small bit of satisfaction watching the Big 12 swirling around the bowl heading down, down, down.

I wish the big 12 wouldn't have changed but you can't blame the teams that left for leaving. Texas was threatening to leave and blow the whole thing up. And everyone that left grabbed the best deal they could with more stability. It's pretty evident that football rules everything. As kansas who every year pretty much are a top 5 basketball team and nobody was calling them to join any conference when all that was going down. I do agree with loomix that a conference is supposed to be for all the teams united. Other wise what's the use of being in a conference?
