Today I fed the last bale of hay and that meant I had to move the cows off of their "winter pasture" to some grass. The field they were on was chewed pretty short but I wanted to hold off moving them until the grass had a bit of top.

Well now with over two inches in the last 7 days, it got that top!

However, the thing that seemed kinda strange was that after a month and a half of nice, spring-like weather, I had to put fence up in a minor snow storm! Snow blowing right cross-ways with almost a foot of green grass underfoot!

At one point, my jacket had a solid layer of wet snow stuck to the windward side. Brrr. I guess I've already got my "summer blood" in my veins!

But tonight I've got the happiest cows in the country! (The calves, not so much!)
