That's what the Bush Administration has done to this country: politized our justice system.
Former Democratic governor Don Siegelman of Alabama is headed for jail because he was charged, tried and found guilty of accepting bribes. But at the same time the briber was saying he gave the governor bribes, he told investigators that he also bribed the Attorney General (now Senator) Jeff Sessions and William Prior, Jr (now a Federal judge). None of the charges against Sessions or Prior were ever investigated. When Siegleman's attorneys brought these facts up in court, the judge ruled they were not admissible. Now that the Dems have control of Congress, they've asked for records of this investigation and trial. The Justice Department.....are you ready?
HAS REFUSED TO GIVE THEM TO CONGRESS. Their reasoning? Giving them the documents might give the impression of unfair justice!

Iraq is bad, but the perversion of our justice system for political purposes is the very worst thing this Administration has done.
