WASHINGTON -- Democratic and Republican senators joined a former deputy chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Tuesday in urging the Obama administration to make public more information about its top-secret targeted killing program amid questions about the legality and effectiveness of hundreds of CIA drone strikes in Pakistan and elsewhere.

"More transparency is needed to maintain the support of the American people and the international community" for drone strikes, said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., a key Obama ally and the chairman of the Constitution subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

I support the drone program to a point but I agree with the BIPARTISAN efforts to make it a bit more transparent where possible. The only big problem I have is the fact it is Obama's go to plan for EVERY terrorist target.

If US soldiers are going to be put at great risk by going into a camp and rooting out a problem then target it with a drone. Award all the terrorists in the camp with their promised 72 virgins and hope they are all butt ugly with bad breathe. BUT if they can take a few of the very High Valued Terrorist leaders ALIVE and take them to the dreaded Gitmo and get some life saving Intell out of them then for gawd sake save the drone and DO IT. The Terrorists are going to keep coming as there seems to be an endless supply of those evil wingnuts and those in Gitmo have been out of the loop long enough that they are no good to the US Intell gathering process, so it is time to start refreshing the detainee pool.

My wife asked how much fun their idea of heaven would really be for a Jihadist's? Given statistics, most are not going to be much of a Don Juan- probably more like a Mohamed Axkch something.... and as if disappointing 1 or a couple women here in the romantic department wouldn't be bad enough, to disappoint 72 women for eternity..... sheesh...

I figure that if Obama knows, Russia, Egypt, Pakistan, China, etc... probably knows. Might as well throw a bone to the rest of us that are paying for it.

Oh come on we are talking about 72 butt ugly virgins with bad breathe do you really think they are going to be so picky after a LIFE LONG dry spell that they would be terribly judgemental. I'm talking about women that have to wear two burkas to hide the reason they are still virgins.
