BREAKING: Senate Votes To Keep US OUT of UN Arms Treaty
MARCH 23 2013
from → Gun Laws

TheHill.com is reporting that the US Senate has passed a bill opting the United States out of the proposed UN Arms Treaty.

It was a rare bipartisan support of the Second Amendment.

“We’re negotiating a treaty that cedes our authority to have trade agreements with our allies in terms of trading arms,” Sen. James Inhofe said. “This is probably the last time this year that you’ll be able to vote for your Second Amendment rights.”

The vote was tied to an amendment to the budget and passed the Democratic controlled Senate 53-46.

Good job senators, for once.

Don't tell Oldtimer that a Republican introduced an amendment that had nothing to do with the Budget or he will have another hissy fit and demand an explanation.

First the Pipeline now this, this proves the Senate can have BiPARTISAN SUPPORT on some things but only if Reid allows them to. Proof again that the dysfunctional Senate Oldtimer is always moaning about has a lot to do with the man running the show. HARRY DO NOTHING REID.
