Sure, Al's only 16, but it still seems like just yesterday that we were taking Kindergarten pictures......but here they are, in all their splendor. The scuff on his nose will be touched up, the photographer said that it probably won't even show in the final drafts. Too bad the scar can't be magically "fixed"......... At least that's what I understood her to say, or maybe she said she wouldn't "fix" the scar, because, unlike the scuff on his nose (where he and Benjie were roping each other the other day  ) the scar won't go away..........

But here they are, for your viewing. This one is the "package deal":

This is the one that will soon be hanging on our living room wall.......my personal favorite. I'll probably put it in his K-12th grade school collage frame:

Nice pics Ranchy...you know time flies when you're having fun!

What's Al going to do, now that he's graduated? I'd assume head to a college, but I have to admit, I've never known anyone whose graduated from HS at 16, much less started college then.

Tell him congrats from me----

Cheers---

jigs

TTB, he's still got 2 1/2 courses to finish before he graduates. The plan (at least the one we're working with) is to enroll him in one of Penn-Foster's career courses. If he takes one of the ones that continue from his senior year electives, he gets credit for them in the career part. I'd almost bet that he'll go on with the vet assistant one........especially since he did so well with his Vet Science projects (I, II, & III this past year). He really enjoyed doing that one.
Later on down the line (like when he's 18 and legal to be out on his own) he wants to go to Sul Ross State University, in Alpine, TX. It's an ag college, and really, that's all he's overly interested in doing. We raised that kid right.......unlike his older half-siblings, but don't get me started on them.......

Katrina, the more I look at them, the more I like that one best, too.....but you have to choose right then, and we were on a time schedule that didn't allow for much lollygagging around........

I like the last one because of the background. Seems fitting for
him and yes, good looking young man.

Thanks for sharing. Good luck to him, whatever he choses.

Lilly, thanks for sharing your work with us! Really, he wouldn't look that much different without the scars.....they are so much less noticeable now that they were at first. Maybe by keeping them, he'll remember to be more observant when on a young horse........

Thank you all, for the nice comments......I, too, think he's a pretty good lookin' kid, but then, ya know how us moms can be.....
