I pulled rank and sent Ty in after this cow-this is what is affectionately called 'loon s..t'-I'd roped her and almost got her out but the rope broke. He went in to get the rope and tailed her out of there-then she dragged him about 300 yards through that stuff before he worked his way up the rope and got it off her. Had to high five the young guy he wasn't exactly wearing cowboy clothes but he sure cowboyed up lol.

Sure he is happy, now when he has a kid who he wants to do the same job he has proof that "I had to do it when I was your age".... Nothing much worse than having to crawl through manure and mud to get a stuck animal unstuck... Fun..

lol. tell him that it si a lot of fun to walk thru a slough in yer boxers, dive under, and hook the quad up to a tow rope, and have dad leave to the yard for a while, come back a half hour later only to find he forgot something and went back. lol. I like the dirty work-always pays off a lot more in the end than making tea. lol.

NR,

That looks like the ground around here right now... pure loon$^!T. I just dread having to pull a cow that is stuck out with a rope. Have had the rope break before and hit the cow in the head.. :( . then its just a recovery mission. I usually use a decent chain with hooks then I know its not going to break....
