I love seeing pictures of your operation, it looks like you cover alot of ground. How many cow/calf pairs can you run per acre?

It's kind of the other way around. It takes between 25 and 30 acres to run a cow/calf pair for a year.

Your Sandhills country is more productive than the country around here, we need 35 to 50 acres to run a cow/ calf pair for a year.

A friend of mine here says investment cost per cow for grass is very close to the same everywhere. Here in our country we need a min. of 3 ac. per cow at a cost of $2,500 per ac. For an investment of $7,500 per cow .
If his theory is true in Soapweeds country at 25 acres per cow that would make his grass bring $300 per acre, and the Montana example of 40 acres per cow $187 per acre. How close is that ?

Probably pretty close.
