Sex in DC

This one is really starting to look interesting: A DC scandel involving sex. The article only mentions Duke Cunningham, but this lobbyist had ties to many, many politicial figures. I can't wait to see if any family-oriented Republicans are caught up in it.

Link to full article below.

"Federal authorities are investigating allegations that a California defense contractor arranged for a Washington area limousine company to provide prostitutes to convicted former congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-Calif.) and possibly other lawmakers, sources familiar with the probe said yesterday.

In recent weeks, investigators have focused on possible dealings between Christopher D. Baker, president of Shirlington Limousine and Transportation Inc., and Brent R. Wilkes, a San Diego businessman who is under investigation for bribing Cunningham in return for millions of dollars in federal contracts, said one source, who requested anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

Baker has a criminal record and has experienced financial difficulties, public records show. Last fall, his company was awarded a $21 million contract with the Department of Homeland Security to provide transportation, including limo service for senior officials. Baker and his lawyer declined to comment yesterday."

Sex scandals in DC are nothing new, dis. You should know that. But maybe dems can learn something from this one. Learn something like how this sex thing is really supposed to work.

Excerpts; link below. My emphasis. LMAO

"Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Barney Frank admitted a lengthy relationship with a male hooker who ran a bisexual prostitution service out of Frank's apartment."

Yes, I'm sure you, the media and the House Republicans thought about Chelse Clinton every time you trumpted her father's infidelity to the world. I'm a great believer in what goes around comes around.

If these guys are taking money, trips, or prostitutes from lobbyists in exchange for their votes, they should be outed. And, yes, I'm going to gloat all over this board when/if those people who held themselves to higher standards, higher family values, higher morals than Bill Clinton are shown to be enjoying free sex with prostitutes.

Your point? Barney Frank has never hid his homosexuality. He's not married. He's not cheating on anyone when he has a relationship with a male hooker or the local dogcatcher. He didn't get sex from this guy in exchange for his vote, as is possibly being alleged in this current investigation. So to compare the two stories is laughable.

How about this? "That is why the world, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with one voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm.

So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War. Regrettably the current Administration failed to take the opportunity to bring this issue to the United Nations two years ago or immediately after September 11th, when we had such unity of spirit with our allies."

Yep you guessed it john kerry and don't use that crap that he only got information that President Bush wanted him to have he said "the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War. " Explain that lie genius

Or what about the ALL the UN resolutions? How do you explain that? If this war is such a lie the President Bush convinved the world that we needed to "get saddam" before he was even President.

Saddam Hussein has repeatedly violated sixteen United Nations Security Council Resolutions (UNSCRs) designed to ensure that Iraq does not pose a threat to international peace and security. In addition to these repeated violations, he has tried, over the past decade, to circumvent UN economic sanctions against Iraq, which are reflected in a number of other resolutions. As noted in the resolutions, Saddam Hussein was required to fulfill many obligations beyond the withdrawal of Iraqi forces from Kuwait. Specifically, Saddam Hussein was required to, among other things: allow international weapons inspectors to oversee the destruction of his weapons of mass destruction; not develop new weapons of mass destruction; destroy all of his ballistic missiles with a range greater than 150 kilometers; stop support for terrorism and prevent terrorist organizations from operating within Iraq; help account for missing Kuwaitis and other individuals; return stolen Kuwaiti property and bear financial liability for damage from the Gulf War; and he was required to end his repression of the Iraqi people. Saddam Hussein has repeatedly violated each of the following resolutions:

UNSCR 678 - November 29, 1990

Iraq must comply fully with UNSCR 660 (regarding Iraq's illegal invasion of Kuwait) "and all subsequent relevant resolutions."

Authorizes UN Member States "to use all necessary means to uphold and implement resolution 660 and all subsequent relevant resolutions and to restore international peace and security in the area."

UNSCR 686 - March 2, 1991

Iraq must release prisoners detained during the Gulf War.

Iraq must return Kuwaiti property seized during the Gulf War.

Iraq must accept liability under international law for damages from its illegal invasion of Kuwait.

UNSCR 687 - April 3, 1991

"Condemns" Iraq's "serious violation" of UNSCR 687.

"Further condemns" Iraq's noncompliance with IAEA and its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Iraq must halt nuclear activities of all kinds until the Security Council deems Iraq in full compliance.

Iraq must make a full, final and complete disclosure of all aspects of its weapons of mass destruction and missile programs.

Iraq must allow UN and IAEA inspectors immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access.

UNSCR 949 - October 15, 1994

"Condemns" Iraq's recent military deployments toward Kuwait.

Iraq must not utilize its military or other forces in a hostile manner to threaten its neighbors or UN operations in Iraq.

Iraq must not enhance its military capability in southern Iraq.

Iraq must cooperate fully with UN and IAEA inspectors and allow immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access.

UNSCR 1060 - June 12, 1996

Iraq must cooperate fully with UN weapons inspectors and allow immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access.

UNSCR 1115 - June 21, 1997

UNSCR 1194 - September 9, 1998

"Condemns the decision by Iraq of 5 August 1998 to suspend cooperation with" UN and IAEA inspectors, which constitutes "a totally unacceptable contravention" of its obligations under UNSCR 687, 707, 715, 1060, 1115, and 1154.

It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War. " Explain that lie genius

President Bush's hand picked weapons inspector said "we were all wrong." Kerry was wrong, too. But the President of the United States has the duty to our military to only take us to war when has proof there is a danger to this country or to protect our national interests. Bush had neither. Kerry can say what he wants; he's not President. He's not the Commander in Chief.

Or what about the ALL the UN resolutions? How do you explain that? If this war is such a lie the President Bush convinved the world that we needed to "get saddam" before he was even President.

What about them? Since when is the US responsible for enforcing UN Resolutions, especially when the UN won't agree they're worth enforcing? No, Bush wanted Saddam. His Sec of Treasury said at the first Cabinet meeting, Bush discussed getting Saddam. Richard Clark said as soon as 9/11 happened, Bush wanted to know that Saddam was involved.

I'm not going to go into the long list of Resolutions. I don't know that he didn't conform to some of them. He certainly did not have any WMDs. And that's the one that Bush highlighted as his excuse for war. There were UN weapons inspectors in Iraq when Bush chose to invade that country. You've got no case here. We're not the UN; we're one member of the UN. President Bush called the UN "irrelevant" if they refused to back the invasion of Iraq! Yet you suggest the reason he went to war was to enforce UN resolutions? What a laugh.

And you still don't address the morals of a man who lies to send young Americans off to die. A man who is responsible for tens of thousands of dead, including innocent children, babies.

So, what your tellin me is this. The UN wont enforce the laws/rules they set forth to the world, yet we should consult with them and get the ok from them, to go in and take care of problems they should be?

THe UN is a corrupt bunch of spineless crooks! They are worthless and you know it. If we had to wait for them, Saddam would still be in power, raping, murdering and torchuring his own people, Saddam would still be jackin the world around with inspections, all the while the crooks in the UN would still be swindling the oils for aid deal. They are pathetic.
