The farthest I've ever roaded my grader is about 75 miles - - - how far are you going? It will go about 40 MPH but most of the time if it needs to go far it goes on the de tach and the Kenworth is much nicer to ride in.
I grew up just south of the twin cities area...make a plan to go to the mall of America...I'm not much of a shopper but it's a pretty interesting place to go check out. People, watching is pretty fun therekatrina said:Is there something for me to do there?? I'm not really into machinery.
Denny said:Oh that place will be busy I was there last year on the 27th and 28th year end it was a zoo. I sure like my skidsteer it's at Ziegler in Brainerd Mn which is 20 miles from here the joy stick switch for the auxillary is not working and the heater motor is'nt either so they are fixing it.
Once the skidsteer is paid off I'm going to get a trac-hoe my family is from southern Mn all crop farmers and trenchers most of my cousins work in the tileing business one family has 8 sons 5 of them are in that business as were all my uncles and Dad plus Grandpa so when I see a piece of wet ground its just in my nature to see if it can be farmed at least once smoothed out and put into hay production or improved pasture.

Denny, I have lots of family in Brainerd area and in Staples, and Brainerd is where we picked up 11 Belgians to use for feeding hay in 2004...from an old retired forest supervisor. Very nice old guy...the Thesing family. I grew up in Waseca, MN, south of you about 3 1/2 hours...the dirt can't get much blacker than it is around there. Brainerd is a great community though. Lots of fantastic fishing--heard the ice is pretty thick in your neighborhood this year! Stay warm, sounds like another cold snap about to hit ya.

I know of quite a few folks in agriculture still there in the area. My parents taught school and coached in Waseca starting in 1973. My dad coached many sports...last name of Klomp. George and Gert Thesing and their daughter and son in law actually came out here about 6 years ago to see their horses we bought while coming out to see Yellowstone Park. Nice nice people! My sister in laws family has owned the staples florist shop for about 70 years...Williams Floral. My twin brother lives in Brainerd with his family. So are you near Mötley then? Small world! Perhaps next time we make it off this ranch for a vacation we will have to stop by![]()
Wyoming Wind said:Denny...Very small, world! There were a few kids a year or two younger than me in high school with the last name of Blowers. I never knew them real well as they were younger. I know right where your grandparents land is now...yes, turned into a nice subdivision for sure. I attended my twin brother and sis in laws wedding in 2000 in Staples. I've had a beer or two in Ten Hi Bar in Mötley the night before the wedding![]()
