McCain sources say Palin has gone off message several times, and they privately wonder if the incidents were deliberate. They cited that she labeled robocalls -- recorded messages often used to attack a candidate's opponent -- "irritating" even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.

"Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

A Palin associate defended her by saying she is "not good at process questions" and that her comments on Michigan and the robocalls were answers to process questions.

Well....DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sister Sarah is calling in the heavy hitters now- Elizabeth Hasslebeck...I wonder if she'll be wearing her little "survivor" outfit for the Joe Sixpacks... :???:

'View' co-host Hasselbeck to campaign for Palin

NEW YORK (AP) — "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will stump for vice presidential contender Sarah Palin in Florida this weekend. "Gov. Palin asked me to be with her this Sunday to introduce her at the rallies in Florida. I am more than honored to be there," Hasselbeck said Thursday on the TV talk show. "I'll have some stories, I'm sure, on Monday."

Palin is scheduled to appear Sunday at campaign rallies in Tampa and Kissimmee, Fla.

Co-host Joy Behar couldn't resist tweaking her conservative colleague on the air.

"I want to see her wardrobe," Behar said mischievously, a reference to the GOP's $150,000 expenditure on designer clothes and beauty services for the Alaska governor. Hasselbeck smiled but didn't respond.

OT, I don't say much on here but your constant, disrespectful and sarcastic remarks about Sarah Palin have prompted me to reply. Sarah is somebody's daughter, she is somebody's mother and she is somebody's wife. She has accomplished more in her 40 plus years than you have in a lifetime. She is running for the second highest office in the United States. A lot of brave men and women have gone before you to give you the right to be stupid and disrespectful but that doesn't mean you couldn't take the high road and have a little respect. The fact is that Sarah Palin speaks in common ordinary language that everybody can identify with and not the smooth lies that come from many inside the beltway. She is one of us with the brains and ability to get something done. She doesn't owe a lot of debts to the crooks in Washington. She is a breath of fresh air. If you want to vote for a Muslim who will sell us down the river just because you hate Dubya then that is your right in America but show a little respect to those who have accomplished more than most of us ever will. I suspect if she looked like Janet Reno many of these comments would never happen.

But its OK for you to call Obama/Biden names or say false things about them too- like your Muslim comment...
If thats your opinion -fine live with it--I'm convinced he is a Christian and a better one than most on this site that put themselves out to be so...
But I'll keep putting out my belief that Palin is an incompetent right wingnut radical extremist that was chosen only to pander to that bunch and to women- and not with the good of the country in mind....
Actually besides their totally disastrous handling of the economy- the thing that scares me and many in the country worse is to see the Republican party tying its saddle strings to these extremist social issues and practices supported by these extremist rightwing evangelicals and pentacostals as a vision of a "national religion"....And its driving Republicans away from the party...

oldtimer, I do not attend church. I believe in God, Heaven, and the rights of men. I am a HUGE voice for the seperation of church and state. yet I would rather see a political push for a national religion, than the wealth redistribution that Obama wants.

suppose Obama calls you up and says, "poor old Jigs is having a rough go of it, so you MUST give him 1/4 of your land and cattle so he can be a better rancher." also, you gotta let him have your barn.

seem real fair to me!

Wealth redistribution is taking place right now- it does with all taxes-- and your wrong its the other way around- Montana like Alaska is a "receiver" state-- actually getting back more in Federal taxes than they pay out....

Yep, it's OK when someone speaks disrespectfully of a Dem, but don't you dare say something negative about Saint Sarah! What about the attacks on Janet Reno's looks, Hillary, Obama's religion, race, etc? Those are apparently acceptable to you, but you're driven to object to Sarah's treatment? Get real. When McCain named Palin as his partner, the public loved her. The more they learned about her, corrupt, uninformed, etc., the less they liked her.

One of the things that I look forward to, if Obama is elected, is that we might, finally, have people running the country who aren't "average Joes." This country used to respect intelligence, competency, hard work. Today it's all about "they're just like us." I don't want someone just like me running the country. I want them to be smarter, younger, with a better understanding of how the world works. And that's not Sarah Palin.
