Got the claves loaded out today, but one liner didn't make it. I guess it was too cold and his trailer was all froze up. It was -30 early this morning. So I guess we'll get rid of the cull cows Sun. morning.
Very few pictures today, Mrs. Silver took what we did get. Sorry, nothing very exciting.

The calves look good, the one's in the first photo look like they want to be sold and shipped to an area that is somewhere between the -30 and 90F. Good luck on your sale.

You guys are tough hombres. No way I could handle that kinda cold.

It's not bad. Not like 90F anyway!

LOL :) I do think I'd take -30C over 90F

Does look abit chilly though. Let us know how they do, they sure look good

90????? LOL - That's fall weather....It's been 90 within the last two weeks.... 113 was the high we had for the year.....I don't like it too much but given the choice of 113 or -30, I'm taking 113.....

(Yes I know ya'll are talking Celcius on the -30, but I'm too lazy to do the conversion)

See, that makes you a far tougher hombre than me. I cant even a imagine a cow surviving 113.

I know I am a wuss. I have the same winter coat as you, but I keep mine zipped up with a neck scarf on and we are only hitting -20 with about the same snow as you.
Good luck with the calves.

Well for better of for worse the calves are gone.
Steers averaged 599 lbs, prices ranged from $158 per cwt for a few 458 lb steers to $133.50 for a pen of 679 lb steers. All in all it's good to be done, and we are satisfied with the sale.
Just a few culls and dry's to load out Sunday for Monday's sale.

Good luck to all of you who have yet to sell!
