Shot Doves yesterday..........

In a 25-30 MPH wind from the storm brewing in the Gulf.

Those boogers were sailing over the trees and swooping down to about 3 feet off the ground, all the while moving at least a 100 MPH in droves of 10-20.

My little buddy and I swapped out loading our guns for each other for about an hour when they really started coming in.

Talk about humbling..............................

Even the dogs were laughing at us at times!

What kinda doves are you hunting? Up here we have an abundance of mourning doves they are grey some of my buddies from southern states that come up here to hunt geeses and ducks seem to have alot of fun with these little buggies after the waterfowling is done in the morning. I have never really gotten into it. Are the doves good to eat or are they just target practice.

We have mostly Mourning doves with some Eurasian Collared doves thrown in the mix.

Good to eat and hard to hit. Big sport down here.
