Unions donate 95% of the unions campaign donations to Democrat candidates while 40% of union members vote Republican? Should Union bosses beable to take Republican members money and donate it to the person the member is voting AGAINST and get away with it?

Well if memory serves, only 6% or thereabouts of workers belong to unions in the US. Darn those 6% how darn them to want better pay, benefits, and safe working conditions, while watching some unsuccessful CEO walk away with millions. I just can't understand it.

how does taking dues and using them to "support" politicians accomplish any of that?

by the union taking staunch political positions it alienates those who might otherwise support their work..
