We went to a funeral yesterday, for a man I NEVER thought I would ever have to bury, let alone for the reason we did. Dave was one of the DO anything that needed done type of guys. He was a pickup man, drummer for his brothers band. Head wrangler at Ft Rob, general overall great hand. From what I knew of him, and I thought I knew him pretty well, one of the toughest men I had ever known. I tried my best to emulate his horsemanship. He handled a horse as well as anyone I have ever seen, and could get as much done on a young horse as I could on my old broke one. Anyway, on Sunday, he took his own life. I will never know what led up to it, but I do know I never got to say good bye!
The funeral chapel was packed to the gills. If only he would have reached out to any one of us.

So sorry to hear of Dave's unfortunate death. What pain he must have been in. It makes you wonder what all we are missing in the lives of those around us.

My thoughts are with you and with his family.
