Sister Mary Katherine

The Priest said, 'Sister, this is a silent monastery.
You are welcome here as long as you like, but you may not speak until directed to do so.'

Sister Mary Katherine lived in the monastery for 5 years before the Priest said to her,
'Sister Mary Katherine, you have been here for 5 years. You may speak two words.'

Sister Mary Katherine said,
'Hard bed.'

'I'm sorry to hear that,' the Priest said,
'We will get you a better bed.'

After another 5 years, Sister Mary Katherine was summoned by the Priest.
'You may say another two words, Sister Mary Katherine.'

'Cold food,' said Sister Mary Katherine,
and the Priest assured her that the food would be better in the future.

On her 15th anniversary at the monastery,
the Priest again called Sister Mary Katherine in to his office.
'You may say two words today.'

'I quit,' said Sister Mary Katherine.

'It's probably best,' said the Priest,
'You've done nothing but bitch since you got here.'

Ohhhh...brings back memories of the REAL Sister Mary Katherine that was a teacher of mine in elem school.

Built like a tank and she told you what to do or what she wanted ONE TIME...and if you messed....death be unto you.

Bright red cheeks, red hair and ' comfort nurses ' shoes!!!!!

That woman turned a 12" wooden ruler into what we thought was a deadly weapon!!!!!

I didn't but she was one of those long term subs that would come in when a teacher would have a baby or a broke leg and the sort.

She was the defn of a Holy Terror!!!!

Now Sister Pete (??) was the complete opposite....itty bitty, quiet like a church mouse, but would fill all the black boards in the room with work instructions for the DAY....and the writing was soooo tiny. She used every millimeter of space!!

It was amazing as each and every line was EXACTLY level and perfect!!!!

I was glad to leave them behind as they never ventured into the grades past 6th!!

After I reread the post, I realized someone would comment!
I'm pretty sure Kola grew up! In fact, by her picture, grew up quite nicely!
Just didn't realize it was with Catholicism, whether it be school, teacher, or both!

Now Kola,
Why would your teacher have a broken leg? :???:

I remember my 4th grade teacher broke her arm playing with all of us on the playground. She was a mean 'shortstop' on the ball field!!!!

Then, here came Sister Katherine for the next 4 wks (as the teacher has to have surgery, pins etc in the arm)....like a 400lb leprechaun !!!!

4th grade was longer than normal it seemed that yr!!!

No, he had me to put it up for him and thus it happened to be in my pic folder.

So when I deleted the whole mess, it took that one with it.
