Sitt'n by a campfire---all alone tonight
no horse,no dog---no family or friends in sight
alot of thoughts---both future and past
how to make a dollar---and make it last
the fire went out---way to soon
as i make my bedroll---by the light of the moon
and i say my prayers---for my soul to keep
as i count the stars---and go to sleep
the coals are cold---as the sun comes up
and i start a new fire---and fill a coffee cup
