Server weather warnings all day, on the news just a few minutes ago they showed 650 lighting strikes in the last 5 minutes.
Very smoky here with fires at Malad Idaho, Greys Lake Idaho , both west of us and South of Island Park. North West of us. So going to have a red sun for a few days and lots of smoke
Can look right at the Sun, it is a big red ball.

Sue and I did a parts run to Preston Idaho. They didn’t have everything, but I paid for it and told them to send it up next week with anybody from Star Valley. Then they said they had some parts to go there today…. My closest neighbor.
Well it was Sue and My 28th today so we went on to Logan and she did some shopping, we had a late nice lunch, then drove over to Brigham City and loaded up with apricots, tomatoes and early peaches. We took I-15 back up to Idaho Falls; the fires must have been out around Malad. Loaded up more supplies in IF didn’t get home till 9:30.
rain showers in Downey

News tonight all fires contained , biggest one in Utah might push some smoke this way

Hey Jody "Can look right at the Sun, it is a big red ball."

Ever had arc-burned eyes? I did that a few years back (look at the sun through the smoke) when we were covered up with crop-burning smoke from Mexico. I was reminded how arc-burn felt and I never made that mistake again.

smoke was thick enough that you could look right at it... Aug 1988 you could look at the red sun all day as Yellowstone burned. Last year we ran yearlings remember come back over Towogtee pass in the semi and looking at the big red ball in the sky.
