I don't know how you guys can think it right to impose a rule on a private business that may cost them money. They can make the choice based on what is best for their business.
And yes, I don't like seat belt laws either.

Seriously, and I'm keeping things civil here, what are some examples of Alberta's smoking laws that are tougher than other places?
Heres a brief outline of our smoking law....
Smoking prohibited in all public places and workplaces.
No smoking allowed within five meters of a doorway,window or intake of a public workplace.
Tobbacco sales no longer permitted from healthcare facilities,post secondary campuses,pharmacies or stores that contain pharmacies.
18 and under in possession or consuming tabbacco products will be found guilty of a fine no more $100.
No smoking in Alberta prisons by prisoners or gaurds
As of July1/08 retail displays,advertising or prommotion of tobbacco products prohibited.
I also know its prohibited to smoke in any workplace vehical that will be used by more then one employee.
