What good to keep snakes at bay?

Any and all kinds of snakes really.

Got some hanging around the barn sheds.....they may be good ' rat-ers'...but they gotta go.

Yeah, I know a 12 g does a good job....but I want to keep their kinfolk out also.

I kill only the poisonous ones at my place though I know one of these days a bigger version of the one below is going to eat my dog.

That is very clearly not a python its a red tailed boa. Not dangerous to humans unless they end up around a small childs neck. Also part of the constrictor family same as pythons. This colour version sells for about $25 albino and other morphs go up to about $4000.
