been calving a week on packed snow feed grounds, Feed in a big lot at night and let the cows trail thru a corral, Any body that doesn’t come in get brought into the corral then into a old barn. Then a walk thru the lot and any twisted tails, dropped hips go into the new barn. Have hardly had a calf bore out side at night. Been -10 to 10 most mornings. 30 and lite freezing rain this morning and a dead cow on the most level place in the lot this morning.
Would move calving way back to May and June but we go onto our summer grass on the forest the 6th of June.
And March snow is dry, and bug doesn’t live on packed snow.
