Dylan- you keep that stuff up there...
We had a little rain shower during the night- but the temp was 40 this AM- and the sun is peeking thru the clouds...Bit Breezy with this front moving in...
I hope the weather guessers are right- as they are saying most the snow will go around us now...

Your poor cattle, if only they had a bite to eat :p . I hope your snow ended like it did here by mid-morning. Places west of here are supposed to get 15+ inches... I'll take the wind this time  :D .

BTW, awesome sunrise shots :) .

Snowing out in the Wet Valley in S. Central Colorado also.

Hope you're staying dry Ned Jr. ;)

We were out there last week and got out just in time.

We were going to take our broiler chickens to the processor today. I went out at 4:30 this morning to start loading birds, hadn't looked out the windows, and stepped out the door to a bit of a shock. We'd already had 2" of the white stuff and by 10am there was 4". I still have 100 acres of swath grazing to cut, and I'm really rooting for it to keep standing long enough for the snow to melt.

Camera was dead too, so I'll take some pics in the morning.

Wasn't much fun fencing today we had about eight inches on the ground at daylight-just about got the winterfield ready. It's supposed to melt off so they'll have to root hog till wednesday.

Brrrr, you guys are making me shiver with your pictures and word pictures. We have had it unseasonably warm here and I don' mind.

We had a skiff of snow one morning last week but the sun came out and it was gone by noon. Just a bit of rain is making the ground kinda sticky but it's been pretty good here, making up for the last couple of years. Still a bit of pasture left and haven't fed many bales yet.

Shortgrass - your excellent verse reminds me of another that I heard from an old gentleman whose slow, low drawl added immensely to the meaning of the poem -

"As a rule,
man's a fool.

When it's hot,
he wants it cool.

When it's cool,
he wants it hot.

He always wants it
how it's not."
