I received this:

Let me get this right. Obama pushed to have us bail out General Motors. Now with all the folks in the USA out of work, General Motors will build a 1/2 Billion Dollar facility in Mexico employing who???????????????????? Terrific oversight of our tax dollars. Vote in November!

Here is an interesting item I found on IndustryWeek.com that I thought would interest you.

Don't worry I hear Obama has a plan, he is going to send out that army of joke telling robots, that he is funding with stimulus money, to cheer the unemployed up. I hear they are going to program the robots to deliver the Summer of Recovery speech Biden has been using.

Instead of the 'summer of recovery' I think it is more the 'summer of our discontent.'

And here I was thinking how contented I was - a year with rain- best grass and crops in years- highest cull cow market possibly ever-- yearling and calf prices reaching record highs (and still rising)- wheat at a nice profitable market (and raising again this week)--Bills all paid off- and owe noone anything- and now you tell me I should be discontented....

I guess my only discontent is the kids good jobs have kept them so busy they haven't been able to help as often as usual- and the son is so busy working that I've had to cut a few corners to get things done when need be--but that bigger paycheck allows him to splurge off and on and buy things for the place that I keep putting off buying...

But their are some of you that I think don't know what "contented" is- and can never be satisfied with what you got- and always will be looking for greener in someone elses pasture.....

Imbeciles usually are content within their own little worlds.

They have no sense of misgivings outside of their realm.

So you are having a good year, what about those on unemployemt

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/08/27/economic-growth-rate-downgraded-anemic-percent-second-quarter/

WASHINGTON -- The Commerce Department is revising downward the economic growth from April to June to 1.6 percent -- a decline from the original 2.4 percent forecast and much slower than the 3.7 percent of the first quarter 2010.

The barely-there number isn't enough keep pace with population growth, which needs about 3 percent annualized growth just to break even each year and prevent unemployment, currently 9.5 percent, from rising.

The trade imbalance -- the largest since 1947 -- took away nearly 3.4 percent from second quarter growth, the Commerce Department said.

The current quarter isn't expected to show much improvement, with many economists forecasting growth of only 1.7 percent.

Economists say the number could be a taste of weakness to come -- and fears of a double-dip recession are growing.

EH oldtimer?

Guess you feel that as long as all is good for you the rest of the copuntry can go to he!! :(

Gee big surprize Oldtimer is content on cutting corners by sitting in the watering hole and posting on ranchers, while somebody else is out working and spending their hard earned money on things that HE puts off buying for himself. If that isn't the definition of a liberal.

Congress is in charge of spending.

did the bailouts start under bush or not? simple yes or no would work..

if congress is in control of spending, why do you bitch so much about Obama?

Shaumei what do you think would have happen if people had found out the government was not going to do something about the banks? Just how many people do you think would have been knocking down the doors of the banks demanding their money? And just what do you think it would have taken to stop the riots that we all know would have broke out if the banks locked their doors and refused to dole out money to anyone asking to withdraw. I have no doubt it would have taken nothing less than martial law to stop the violence that would have broke out. A warning to Congress was the only responible thing they could do, to remind them what they were risking since the Democrat controlled Congress seems to deny the fact right in front of Barney Franks beady eyes. If it wasn't for Barney protecting his bed partner and stopping Bush when Bush first warned the Congress of the Risk of Fanny and Freddy, maybe this whole mess could have been avoided but NO the Dems wouldn't heed the warning signs and do something. So Bush takes the Blame for the Dems inaction. :x

Why is it allowed for Mods to personally attack posters and call them rude names?

MsSage it is because the mods think they are above eveyone else, and changing user names allows them to do as the please know they wont boot themselves, thus allowing them to call names, insult, etc without fear of any retalliation.

Neat trick huh??
