Well, I was gonna suggest welding some round rebar over the edge. It don't look "farmered" and it saves the time and energy of putting up panels. Plus, those rails alone sure look sharp (as in pretty). Shortgrass my friend, you ain't all that far from us. Suppose you came and helped us build something that nice. :D Very nicely done.

bmr got a good point on your loading chute , you should maybe hang a thin peace of plywood on your crowding gates ,that would help a bunch also , all in all looks like a nice set up

i'll add one more idea for what its worth...
watch your corners or any place a critters may run by, like if you were sorting cows out. if the "ribs" of the guard rail are flush or close to flush with the end post a cow can lose a lot of hide and skin if she is trying to scoot by. its probably to late for whats already up. but we've learned, on the ends just put enough guard rail on our end post to get the lag in and get a 4X4 post, rip it at a 45 degree angle and fill the corner in. when sorting or cattle running by, this will save alot of hide.

I like some of the suggestions. I have some 2" angle iron that I can bolt vertical over the ribs on the corners to save some hide, and I'll try the old garden hose on the bottom, and as for all the offers to help on other corrals, sorry, but I'm ready for another type project...................... Like I mentioned, I have saved money and material for 10 years, and it is rewarding to see these pens a reality.

Looks like a great setup Shortgrass.
Any concerns about the sharp guardrail can be fixed by going to your local baler dealership and getting used belts which are free and on a corner or crowding gate, a truck mud flap works great, 1/2 wore out is better.
