So where's Bin Laden?

I think it was about a year to a year and a half after 911, that Bush was being criticized for not killing or capturing osama.

We should start hearing the same crowd, start to criticize President Soetoro soon, correct?

i guess it just means the whole american government is corrupt. i guess it's better for business to kill iraqi civilians than to actually try to solve the problem. the total rot is what will end the era of american power.

Don Do you have any evidence that the US military is intentionally killing Iraqi civilians? From what I understand from a nephew that survived being blown up in Afganistan and now is willing to risk his life again by being deployed again, they take great care not to kill the inoccent. Do some die yes but it is not from being targeted like you seem to want us to believe.

tam i didn't say they were targetting civilians but why fight this war when they could have had bin laden? there's so much anecdotal evidence that they knew where he is/was that he must be off limits. he's got guardian angels in lots of countries just as drug lords from afghanistan, south america and mexico do. it's a commentary on the corruption in every government not just so-called developing democracies.

I guess we could listen to tabloid anecdotal evidence or find a source with credibility...

In the past month alone, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said it has been "years" since the U.S. has had good intelligence on the al-Qaida leader,

Defense Secretary Gates offered little hope for a quick capture. "We don't know for a fact where Osama bin Laden is," Gates said on ABC. "If we did, we'd go get him." Asked when was the last time the U.S. had good intelligence on bin Laden, he replied: "I think it has been years."

FBI: Bin Laden 'probably' dead

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation's counter-terrorism chief, Dale Watson, says he thinks Osama bin Laden is "probably" dead.

CIA Director Leon Panetta has told Congress he asks "every day" where Bin Laden is hiding.

so if they don't know, I doubt Obama knows,

i would have thought that all the intelligence resources and technology that america has could have sniffed out bin laden and i suspect it probably did long ago. he's still alive because powerful people are protecting him. blackwater probably could have disposed of him in a fairly messy way.

The guy is a huge remote area with 1000s of places to hide surrounded by people who will protect him with their life.

You could have much worse than don visiting you.

In fact, you have and look what happened.

I think don makes some valid points about the economic benefit of war, as long as the war is not on our own soil.

I am surprised to see that some who recognize and decry the harmful effect of big business (in the form of packers) affecting gov't policy, fail to consider that the same can happen in other segments of business.

I agree that private contractors can operate much more effectively the the government military in locating and eliminating targets.

don you said " i guess it's better for business to kill iraqi civilians than to actually try to solve the problem" does that not mean you think the US military is over there just killing civilans and not there to find those that want to kill US citizens and stop them.
BTW can you provide links to all the anecdotal evidence that they knew where Bin Laden is/was?

You need to ask that other poster here who said they heard it in jail from another inmate......they seem to be in the ' KNWO' about such things

tam it means i think it's better for business to have an expensive war than a small covert program to chop the head off the serpent. funny how collateral damage is so acceptable when it's not on home soil. that collateral damage has created animosity towards the states, not just fear, and it means the usa can spend more billions it doesn't have to maintain security.

You made your point already, is there a point to your second post or is spelling your pet peeve?

spelling and typing errors are common in the internet age, it seems that some people like myself can't always hit the right keys, and you have brought it to the boards attention that it was an error, now I hope you can hold your self to the same high standard and never make another mistake again.

Steve you have to remember that KOLOJINGO1 seldom makes a point, and remember her old tag line was she did not spell check, and to quit bytiching about it?
She just is being hypocritical as usual
