Hey guys, Dad said he met both of you yesterday at the sale in Valentine.

He thinks that the overall quality of calves yesterday in Valentine from top to bottom was right at the top of any barn he has been to over his years. He was really impressed.

Glad you guys came up to him. I wish I could have been there as well. Thanks for introducing yourselves to him.

My dad was in Valentine yesterday and bought a load of heifers. He reported the same thing....he thought the quality of the cattle was THE BEST EVER and he has been attending sales in the Sandhills since the late 1950's. I was watching on the internet and I did happen to see what looked like a very strong resemblence to Soapweed and Peach walk past the camera. Your steers looked really good as well, Soapweed and crew! We just bought the load of heifers because our weather is just horrible....it won't stop raining and we have only 20 acres of beans combined yet. Harvest in these parts is way behind and guys are getting itchy. Rain and snow is forcast for tomorrow. Frustrating.
The heifers arrived here at 4:15 this morning....they are difinitely missing their mommas and they aren't afraid to let you know about it

They still use the "pavilion" at Stampede Park but mostly for bull sales!

When it comes to wrestling, I'd probably stampede alright. I'm a lover not a fighter. :)

BRG, it was nice to meet your dad when he came into the cafe part of the sale pavillion. I recognized him, both from your pictures and from the fine Red Angus producers he was keeping company with.
