SOCIAL SECURITY CHANGES

It does not matter if you personally like or dislike Obama. You need to sign this petition and flood his e-mail box with e-mails that tell him that, even if the House passes this bill, he needs to veto it. It is already impossible to live on Social Security alone. If the government gives benefits to 'illegal' aliens who have never contributed, where does that leave those of us who have paid into Social Security all our working lives?

As stated below, the Senate voted this week to allow 'illegal' aliens access to Social Security benefits.
Attached is an opportunity to sign a petition that requires citizenship for eligibility to that social service.

Instructions are below. If you don't forward the petition and just stop it, we will lose all these names.

If you do not want to sign it, please just forward it to everyone you know.

Thank you!

To add your name, click on 'forward'. Address it to all of your email correspondents, add your name to the list and send it on.

When the petition hits 1,000, send it to [email protected]

PETITION for President Obama:

Dear Mr. President:
We, the undersigned, protest the bill that the Senate voted on recently which would allow illegal aliens to access our Social Security. We demand that you and all Congressional representatives require citizenship as a pre-requisite for social services in the United States

Your Social Security
Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what's what .and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat of Republican. Facts are Facts!!!

Our Social Security

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
Completely voluntary,

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
Incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the
independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the
general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used ! to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other
Government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees
would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month --
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to "put
away" -- you may be interested in the following:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
independent "Trust Fund" and put it into the
general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
controlled House and Senate.

----------------------------------------! ----------------------------

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the
"tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

-----------------------------------------------

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving
annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:

A: That's right!

Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
even though they never paid a dime into it!

-------------- -------------------------- ------------------------------

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
sure to keep it "as is"

But it's worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?

Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.

In 1942 when Social Security was first established there was 42 workers for beneficiary. By 2002, the ratio was down to 3.3 and is projected to be down to 2.2 by 2030.

SS is a Ponzi Scheme perpetuated on us by the good old boys in D.C.

well, it is a Ponzi Scheme for the first 102 thousand dollars or so. You get exempt from the Ponzi Scheme after that.

We have the best policies money can buy.

Yeah it would have been better if Bush had made it so we invested our retirement money in the stock market!

His proposal was constructed so that you could invest only a small percentage of SS funds into a private account.

Up until the last few months I could have made out much better had I been able to do just that.

In the long term I'd have been ahead anyway including these last few months.

   The generations that are now going to have to live thru the Bush Bust will never buy into that dog and pony show presentation...

And I think its going to take a long time for the average Joe Blow to have confidence come back with the folks in the investment/financial/banking industries....

Here's a challenge for you, Reader. Can you give us any 20 year time period this since social security has been established where social security returns beat the DOW?

My generation has to live with average returns in a retirement account that we're forced to participate in that doesn't even beat inflation. Then the liberals have the gall to tell me that it's in my best interests. Now, why would I not have any faith in liberals handling finances?

Nothing prevents you from putting part of your banker Million $ salary into private investments...
Thats what I did- state retirement- private deferred comp- and social security-- and I was getting nowhere what bankers do ....

Why do I have to put a penny of MY money into a plan that actually loses purchasing power?

Well then, don't do it! And deal with the consequences...

Alice

That's wasn't much of an answer. Maybe you didn't understand the question?

I understood it very well...I live in this nation that has laws. I obey the laws.

Fine. Why is it the law that I have to invest in a fund that actually loses purchasing power? Where is the wisdom in that?

Because the masses can't think for themselves?

Only government knows what is best for them?

Don't obey the law and find out! You got a beef with it, and I'm not saying it's not a legitimate beef, gather together your followers, march on D.C. and do something about it! Bitching and moaning about it on a cattle board means nothing.
