We sold some yearling steers right off pasture today and recieved a real good price. They weighed in @ 980 lb avg and sold for $119.50. Total of $1171.10 per steer. They went out on grass on Jun e 10 and we rounded a few up a trailer load today. Still enough dry grass that its keeping them content. A real good group of Blacks. With those prices we'll be selling some more on Monday!!! I very happy!! Its nice to see good prices on both sides of the border! :D

At todays prices, any bovine on the farm should consider themselves priviledged to still be here :!: We are blessed that the things are going our way for once. Wifey was at the store yesterday and thought about buying chicken (can you believe that) for something different to eat, T-bones are 5.69 and a piece of sh** chicken was 5.79. Lets see, chicken can add 20% water, they have salmonella, bird flue, and you get less product per pound than eating real meat. What did she buy, nothing, we ate our own
