Solutions for high fuel costs?

Do some research on biodiesel....... You don't need conversion kits for all biodiesel.... And wind is out of question as the price compared to profit is not realistic.
Corn stoves are good, but then I don't know about air conditioning in the summer. At least for here..

This place was getting $40,000 together to put in wind.

with prices like that it is hard to justify switching......as the equipment life, and energy cost reduction do not give enough return to come close to equaling the outlay....

I believe many people would add wind and solar if the cost was reduced, and this could drasticlly reduce demand....
they only use this part of the ranch 7-8 months of the year but but 25/7 for a diesel generator, with $3+ fuel . The oteher ranch said they had paid for thier wind with fuel savings. But they are there 365 days.

Its the kit to make the bio diesel that I was talking about. On Power Block TV <Trucks> they had a bio diesel episode with outfits that were selling the do it yourself kits. But they are not cheap.
The main problom with bio diesel is that you have to have the bucks to buy the diesel truck in the first place.
I even thought about building a still to make alcohol to burn. Problem is its illegal so I would have to do it in the basement where nobody would see it. That eliminates wood as a power source so if you had to use electricity as a power source it wouldnt pay either.

Here is another question
Why do some people seem to see everything as having a "Party Line"?
I was watching Fox the other day and they where talking about how high fuel prices are good for Democrates.WTF!
Haha That would imply that the democrates were going to do something about it.
Well I have yet to hear a solution from them. Same deal up here, nobody is talking about any solutions.
This should be a problem that everybody is working at trying to fix.
My impression is that the right is bought off by big oil and the left loves the idea of high fuel prices to force people to live in urban areas, use public transport and or force them to drive small crappy cars. Good for the enviroment and all that crap.
