Somalian Pirates

I listened to Savage Nation a little last night. Last night he was calling Navy Ships "Floating Brothels". He's upset that we spend all this money and don't use them. He referenced the first warships America built, the USS Constitution being one of the 6 (you can still do a tour of that ship in Boston). Anyway, we built those when we went to war with the Barbary Pirates, the Muslim Pirates off Tripoli. His reference to "floating brothels" was saying that all they do is create a welfare state with a propeller and make navy female seamen mothers. I can see his point, we're paying all this money while ships get captured, blow the bastards out of the water.

This reaction from Obama and Clinton is ridiculous. We're worried about how the Pirates are treated? We need to go to other countries and talk about how to deal with this? It's BS!, it was Savage or Levin last night who said "if you come within 1000 ft of a US Merchant ship, you get blown out of the water". Use these ships or Submarines and let them form convoys with these merchant vessels, like we did when we created the US Navy and Marines. We have given a green light to the Pirates of the world that we're going to take our time to try to discuss how to deal with the situation and sit down and work things out.

Why are Marines called Leathernecks? They used to wear a leather collar around their neck to protect them from the Muslim Pirates who would try to cut their head off with their sword!

Use the Navy to sink these bastards on the spot and send the Marines into their "nest". Unfortunately we have elected one of the weakest Presidents in US History.

Ben...Them Pie-Rats be Boo-Rock's Muslim Brothas! Boo-Rock gib 'em a stimulus package and citizenship! Allah Akhbar!

Some Navy swiftboats would take care of the problem...only now other Pie-Rats are converging on their location with other hostages, "to negotiate".

Boo-Rock done lost the initiative.......There should be a special place in Hell for Boo-Rock and Jimmah Cahtah.....

Yesterday, the sec. of state was calling for "delicate negotiations" with the pirates. :???: I'd negotiate with 'em all right. I'd send a Navy Seal team out there in the dead of night; kill 'em all, and free that freighter captain.

End Negotiations.

You don't negotiate with terrorists. Don't send the FBI...send a highly trained force who is already on stand by and begging for the gov't to give the order. Any other pirate chips that come within range should be used for target practice.

They're going to die of thirst if they don't get water, I assume it's being provided, then again this is a lifeboat and it may be on hand. Let them run out. Then give them water with something in it that will cause them to fall asleep.

You guys are way off! You can't call the bad guys pirates anymore. They are ocean based, under-priviledged, potential welfare recipients who are forced by evil capitalists to do what they have to to feed their families! It is actually Our fault for not doing something sooner to avoid these poor guys "Having" to choose this career choice. If you'll watch late, late night T.V. they have charity info-mercials on how you can help a "pirate" with a small donation!

Seriously though! Can anyone guess what President Reagan would of done? Obama is so worried about appeasing everyone of the radical groups that helped elect him, he has forgotten about a little thing some of us call PRINCIPLES!
But in order to forget them, i guess he would of had to of had them once! Obama is the product of the Democrats fantasys of a minority who embraces EVERY liberal idea ever concieved. The one giant problem is he has zero experience and just makes it up as he goes!

I quite think that would be Bush's reaction as well.
Heaven forbid!!!

Talk about failure. We better get ready for the big one. Nothing to
stop the terroritst now. They have Obama's number.

He is living in fantasy land. And Clinton, she acts like it is funny.

I think this might wake some people up. And it should. Time is running out.

Do you just write off the nearly 300 hostages now being held by the pirates-- from countries all over the world :???: ....

Seems to me this pirate problem could be resolved with some old WWII tactics of organizing convoys- guarded by military forces aboard the convoy ships while traveling thru these pirate infested areas- and by military escort ships....

OT, do you think the Fench endangered the lives of the 300?

Who are the Fench :???:

Possibly....But as I understand it they had no recourse as that boat was still under power and approaching leaving neutral waters....

The number one thing you learn about hostage situations is PATIENCE...Once you have the situation contained you have unlimited time to talk/negotiate- and don't take forceful action unless it is forced upon you with some type of threat escalation or endangerment to the hostage...

My concern is that America ships are never touched again. They need to pay and be afraid if they see a ship with an American flag.

Seems most of these attacks are pretty elementary, a couple gunmen and a little artilerary on each ship could fend them off.

I don't know if the problem exists with the Somali pirates-- but I read an article awhile back that said many of the South American pirates were crew members....Because of the shipping companies hiring of multi national (cheap) labor- many times the pirates were already on board to aid the small boats coming out to take them over...

That must be why Obama hasn't commented on the issue. Ya' think? :p
