Ohhhh so sweet...I grew up with sheep and miss them lots. I want sheep but Lazy Ace says no....he says that about pigs too.

I guess I will just have to live vicariously through those of you with sheep!

What breeds are they? The little guy on the far right in picture 3 sure is a stocky little rascal. Looks like he has some Southdown in him!

Thanks so much for sharing.

Cheers---

yea, lambs are so precious, we have mostly, Dorest and Suffolk, and some cheviot crosses, and some other breeds thrown in there.

I like to see a sheep outfit every once in a while...Brings back both good and bad memories....Grandpa always ran sheep- and we had them while us kids were in school....Actually got our college funds from raising bum lambs for many years- but the sheep were a lot of work too and they were the first to go when Dad got sick and had to move to town....

They are cute- but they are dumb too.....

Is amazing when I hear of people tha raise lamb that don't eat it.. I have heard that dozens of times around here from the old timers that say they raised lambs for 20 years and never had any.. We have about 50 ewes and we go through 2-3 lambs a year pretty easy. Of couse, mea doesn't go buy without some sort of meat on the plate.
