It's just hair colour. :wink: But I do have a certain fondness for roans. Otherwise I think he looks a lot more moderate than some of the others, particularly being the second oldest in the group. He also has some muscle and stretch in his spine.
Once I recoup my cow numbers over the next 5 years, I would like to split the commercial herd in half and breed 1/2 to Shorthorn bulls and then breed the resulting F1 females to Welsh Black for sale as packages.
