We didn't get any of the white stuff this far south. My 5th grader was P.O.'d at the weather man! The Trinity sure is alot narrower up your way. My brother lived around Madisonville, Bedias, and Leona back about 25 years ago.

My kids loved the snow until they got to cold then it was another story. The Trinity maybe narrower, but it holds 45-47 ft of water. Are you located around the Trinity down south? My wife is from around Dayton Tx. Our place is about 20 miles from Leona straight across. You can sure get a good steak dinner there on Saturday night. What is your brothers name?

I live south of the mouth, in Cedar Bayou aka Baytown.
My brother's name is Scott Ward. He mechaniced at the Ford Place (Bobby Whiten back then i believe) in Madisonville and then I think it became Drake's or something like that.
I made a tape one day in march about 10 years ago just boat riding on the Trinity with my youngest daughter and a couple of her cousins. We'd had a cold spell the week before and that day was clear and warm, T-shirt weather and we lost count of all the gators we saw out sunning, "charging their batteries". If I can convert it over to digital, I may put the tape on Youtube or photobucket and post it.
