discussing situations politicians get into seems fair game.. if it is true..

and this one seems red hot and steamy... or just politics at it's worse..

Second SC GOP Consultant Claims Affair With Nikki Haley

So much for "What happens in Salt Lake City stays in Salt Lake City" ...

A second South Carolina GOP political consultant is claiming he had an affair with gubernatorial hopeful Nikki Haley -- a one-night stand in her hotel room at a June 2008 school choice conference in Salt Lake.

Here's the twist: the consultant, Larry Marchant, worked until his resignation yesterday for Andre Bauer, the current lieutenant governor and one of Haley's opponents in the Republican gubernatorial primary, which is just five days away.

He said he decided to go public after old rumors about a liaison were rekindled

the other person used the "same excuse"..

About 10 days ago, blogger and GOP consultant Will Folks also claimed what he termed "an inappropriate relationship" with Haley,

She sure rendered Andre Bauer speechless in a debate though, over his employment of Larry Marchant.

I heard an interview with this Larry guy, and he sounds like he didn't know any of the details behind his alleged affair with Nikki.

seems it is a bit rough in SC right now..

N. Nikki Randhawa Haley (Nimrata Nikki Randhawa Haley) grew up in rural central South Carolina after her parents emigrated from India,..

She also has been questioned about her 1996 conversion to Christianity, and a political rival this week used an ethnic slur to challenge the Indian-American candidate's loyalty to the U.S.

wonder what the "slur was" and who said it?
on Thursday a state senator who is supporting one of Haley's opponents casually referred to her as a "raghead" and claimed that she is a Manchurian candidate launched by a "network of Sikhs" to take over the governorship.

comments such as this are a poor representation of the republican party..

and even more so why would a person "question a conversion to Christianity?

It looks like Barrett would need to get all of Bauer's and McMster's votes to beat Haley in the runoff.

South Carolina state Rep. Nikki Haley was forced into a runoff Tuesday with Rep. Gresham Barrett after just missing the 50-percent threshold to take the gubernatorial nomination in a four-way race.

Haley secured 49 percent of the vote with 95 percent of precincts reporting. Barrett, who represents South Carolina's 3rd Congressional District, won 22 percent of the vote in a race that was peppered with scandal.

The two will now compete in a runoff election on June 22 for the chance to face Democrat Vincent Sheheen in November.

Republican opponent Lt. Gov Andre Bauer had 17 percent of the vote while Attorney General Henry McMaster received 12 percent.
