President-elect Donald Trump intends to nominate former Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue to serve as agriculture secretary, according to a person familiar with the decision but not authorized to speak publicly before it is announced.

How about it? Good or bad?

Perdue is not related to or affiliated with the food company Perdue or Perdue Farms, the well-known poultry producer.

My guess is he will be pretty good for those who are not whining for government to help them by pulling others down.

It is encouraging that he isn't afraid to endorse and call upon Faith in times of need.

And I do hope he can and will clearly show the difference between 'Ag Dept.' spending to help 'civilians' (food stamps, etc.) and what is for farmers and why, and what is for programs demanded by 'the public' such as ever more benefits for wild life and not necessarily proven tillage and other practices.

Left was criticizing him for Praying for rain. You can tell they have never made a living off the land. Not one of us hasn't prayed for rain or for it to stop as the case may be.
