South Dakota and the government

this from the RC journal "Jodie Anderson, executive director of the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association, said the pain for ranchers is now compounded by dysfunction within the federal government.

While the government has programs to help ranchers who suffer losses from catastrophic weather events, those programs are in limbo because Congress has failed to pass a farm bill. The legislation is normally passed every five years and controls subsidy and insurance programs for the agriculture industry."

Hasn't a farm bill been passed? Didn't they pass the farm bill separate from food stamps?

And this "On Monday, Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., pointed to South Dakota's battered ranchers as another example of why House Republicans needed to continue funding the government without preconditions."
I bet if harry Reid put a bill up for vote to help the ranchers in South Dakota the R's would vote for it.

Those Democrats sure hate preconditions, even a budget. This Administration and it's partners in communism are becoming very transparent, but not in the way we were promised.

The House passed a farm bill without food stamps but the Senate refused to even bring it to the floor for debate without having food stamps and welfare incorporated into it.
